The Landing may be only 185 pages, but it still has the ability to pull at your heartstrings. John Herrick tells the story of two people Danny; a singer songwriter that now lives on the Atlantic Coast and Meghan who is working on her college campus. Both grew up together developing a strong bond and a special friendship.
Herrick has a wonderful way of switching between both characters in a very believable manner. That is something that I deem to be a true talent, for when an author does switch between different points of view there seems to be a lost in translation effect that is truly bothersome for myself and and other readers alike.
